ニューヨークやロサンゼルスにてフットウェア（靴）デザイナーとして活躍した後、作家のサバンナは地元のノース·カロライナ州に戻り、自らのブランド「Merewif」を立ち上げた。生まれ育った海岸からインスピレーションを受け、「Merewif」という古英語で”海の魔女”という名前を付けた。海の生き物や波の象徴となるデザインが多く、全ての製作工程を一つ一つハンドメイドしている。

All Merewif gold plated jewelry is 100% brass with sterling silver underneath.  Merewif uses a much thicker gold plate than the industry standard, and once the pieces are plated, a protective finish is added to prolong the life of the gold plate.  Merewif's gold plated jewelry should hold it’s plating for years if the wearer takes proper care of the piece.

In order to maintain a prolong life of the jewelry, the maker recommends removing the jewelry during shower/swimming and cleaning with harsh chemicals. It is advised to store the jewelry when not in use in a given padded box. If needed, clean with damp cloth.
